FAMU Scholarships for African-American Women
Florida A & M University is providing an outstanding opportunity for
Black women entering college in the fall of 2009.
It is designed to address their absence in the field of computer technology. Dr. Jason Black is the Principal Investigator of a recently awarded $552,000 NSF Grant entitled African-American Women in Computer Science. The grant provides scholarships from $4000 to $10,000 per year for female
African American students.
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation
The Jack Kent Foundation identifies and supports young people of exceptional promise, application, deportment, and character who have financial need and demonstrated excellence in academic endeavors and extracurricular activities. The Foundation awards scholarships that total as much as $50,000 per year, and receives approximately 1,000 nominations for each program, making them among the largest and most competitive scholarships in the country.

Harvard Tuition Assistance Available for low-moderate Income Students
If you know of a family earning less than $40,000 a year with an honor student graduating from high school soon, Harvard University wants to pay the tuition. The prestigious university recently announced that from now on undergraduate students from low-income families can go to Harvard for free...no tuition and no student loans! Males of Color in Post-Secondary Education distributed by Casey Family Programs:
- The scholarship is for Males of Color who verify their status as having aged out of the US Foster Care System and who will be graduating in good standing from an accredited vocational or technical training program, college or university.
- It is a nonrenewable scholarship of up to $5000
- Awards based on a combination of need and merit

Business and Professional Women Foundation
Career Advancement Scholarships
The Business and Professional Women’s Foundation promotes equity for working women through education, information, and research. The foundation provides financial assistance to women seeking additional education to advance in their careers or re-enter the workforce, and also collects, conducts, and analyzes research on issues affecting women in the workplace. Applicants must be women 25 years of age or older. They also must be officially accepted into an accredited program or course of study at a U.S. institution (includes institutions in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands) and must be graduating within 12 to 24 months from the date of grant. Applicants must also demonstrate critical need for financial assistance. The BPW Foundation established the Career Advancement Scholarship Program in 1969 to provide financial assistance to disadvantaged women seeking to further their education. Scholarships are provided to women who wish to advance in their careers, or are soon to enter or re-enter the workforce. The Kinetic City Super Crew needs your kids' help to save their virtual world of Vearth from the science-distorting computer virus, Deep Delete." This program was produced by the American Association for the Advancement of Science and funded by the National Science Foundation.
CAMP NEW LOOK
The premier sports and entertainment camp is back to engage, educate, and inform youth ages 12 to 17 on the business aspects of both industries. 125 youth, representing diverse communities and backgrounds across the united states, will be selected to participate in one of the most innovative and creative residential camping experiences in the country. Entering year 3, the camp offers an array of workshops, activities, and special events designed to strengthen leadership skills, introduce solid business principles and practices and awaken the entrepreneurial spirit in each participant.
